Dear Business Partner:
We all win when basic needs are met, when a child succeeds in school, when families are financially stable and when people are healthy and productive members of society. The 2020-21 United Way of Pettis County Campaign is underway, and this years’ goal is to raise $415,000 to be invested in solutions to hunger, childhood development and mental health/substance abuse disorder initiatives and allocated to 15 agencies right here in Pettis County to support programs that help drive the UW initiatives and to assist families with income stability. This includes the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. Introduced to Pettis County in September 2019 currently supporting 820 children which is about 28% of the eligible population. This continuously growing program allows families to register a child from the age of birth-5 to receive an age appropriate book each month of their life until their 5th birthday promoting early literacy. This is of no cost to the family and anyone residing in Pettis County can apply.
By giving through the United Way you are reaching the largest number of people through organizations that are doing the very best programming in the region, and who are held accountable for results. The local United Way of Pettis County volunteer board of directors, finance committee and work groups, invest, and distribute all monies locally – helping make Pettis County the wonderful place it is to live, work, and raise a family.
Every year Pettis County has more than 175 different businesses that contribute to the annual campaign in addition to our residential efforts to support Sedalia-Pettis County United Way (SPCUW) to identify solutions that improve education, financial stability, and health.
